McClellan Ranch Preserve

An 18-acre former horse ranch on Stevens Creek, with barns, a nature centre and the Baer Blacksmith Shop.

A horse ranch in the 1930s and 1940s, the city’s preserve keeps the original ranch house from the Parish Ranch, now the headquarters of the Santa Clara Valley Bird Alliance, milk and livestock barns, the Parish Ranch water tower and a recreated Baer’s Blacksmith Shop. It took the name preserve in 2012.

The Environmental Education Center is open on Saturdays, and a paved path follows Stevens Creek toward Stevens Creek Boulevard.
