McClellan Ranch Preserve is an 18-acre former horse ranch from the 1930s and 1940s. It keeps the ranch house from the Parish Ranch, now the Santa Clara Valley Bird Alliance’s headquarters, milk and livestock barns, the Parish Ranch water tower and the Baer Blacksmith Shop, where a smith fires the forge on the last Saturday of every month from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (City of Cupertino)

Elisha Stephens, captain of the first wagon train over the Sierra Nevada, settled on the creek and planted Mission grapes and blackberries, and from the blackberries came the name Blackberry Farm. (Foote, 1888) In the orchard years the Nelson family owned it; the city bought it in 1991. (El Estoque)

Blackberry Farm Golf Course is a nine-hole, par-29 course along the bank of the creek. (City of Cupertino) A plaque to Stephens stands in its parking lot. (KQED)

A section of the Stevens Creek Trail runs along the creek from McClellan Road to Stevens Creek Boulevard, past the ranch and Blackberry Farm. (Wikipedia) Farther north, the Mary Avenue Bicycle Footbridge of 2009 carries the trail over Interstate 280. (Wikipedia)
