The Cupertino-Toyokawa Sister City Committee holds the festival in Memorial Park every April, under the 200 cherry trees Toyokawa sent in 1983. It has offered Japanese food, taiko and dance in the amphitheater, and indoor displays of bonsai, ikebana, origami and sumi-e. 2012’s festival was the 29th.
